Endocrinologist – A doctor who specializes in dealing with the glands and hormones of the body and disorders related to them.
Goitrogen – A substance that suppresses thyroid function by disrupting iodine uptake.
TSH – Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, also known as thyrotropin. A hormone produced by the pituitary gland in response to signals by the hypothalmus. The primary function of TSH is to stimulate the production of more thyroid hormones.
